Restylane\u00ae is available in approximately 1cc syringes with the option of lidocaine as a numbing agent for a more comfortable treatment experience. For those very rare patients with a true lidocaine allergy, Restylane\u00ae is also available without lidocaine. Dr. Mandal uses a very tiny needle specifically designed for Restylane\u00ae treatments which take 5 to 30 minutes. Patients who are allergic to lidocaine or a similar anesthetic should notify us in advance of treatment so that our office can order the lidocaine-free product. Patients on blood thinners may only stop them with permission of their internist or cardiologist.
